About Chunqiu
Hi, I am now an MSc student in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Birmingham and I am applying for a Ph.D. in condensed matter physics with my supervisor's consent. Although I don’t have a maths or physics degree, I am enthusiastic about both. During my undergraduate (in China), I almost got 90+ marks (the only exception is 88) in my maths and physics courses. In addition, I am not only content with the high score, but with the basic principles. For example, in 2011, during my freshman year, I got 99 out of 100 in advanced mathematics (including monadic and multivariate calculus, analytical geometry and series). I have self-learned this before my undergraduate, and two years later, I found I didn’t understand the principles of calculus, so, I self-learned the advanced course (including the completeness of the real numbers) in my part-time. I think, with suitable methods, anyone can learn maths and physics well because both are not the sheer sets of formulas and definitions but constructed systems. This is my work to improve the understanding and increase the marks as well. By the way, as a native Chinese speaker, I am also enthusiastic about Chinese (Mandarin), at least I listened and read thousands of hours in linguistics and history. Personally interested in PHYSICS and will spend spare time study it. He would propose some fantasic original idea on certain problem. Sometimes may even share his own knowledge on calculus!!! GOT abundant knowledge to teach and well-arranged for teaching procedure.
Chunqiu helped me with my maths exam when I was worried about my university entry exam. He is a talented tutor who has passions for Maths and physics. He can always explain confusing and abstract knowledge simply and directly through like graphs. This visual method inspired me to learn Maths in a more interesting way.
