About James
I am a student currently in my second year at university. I've taught children in the United States, and have helped improved their scores by full letter grades, all throughout high school. At the university level friends and other students often come to me with questions about assessments and assignments.

My method of teaching is all based around the idea of building strong foundations in subjects, and connecting ideas. Most concepts in mathematics are built off of more fundamental ones. The same is true for most subjects. But for mathematics it is especially important because basic concepts are absolutely integral to understanding much harder ones. Another important aspect of teaching for me, is the use of analogies, to connect abstract mathematical concepts with the physical world. Showing how math can be applied to real world situations, can help grasp otherwise impossibly vague concepts. Having studied three years of physics, I have a lot of useful examples of how math can be both applied and visualized.
