Hello, my name is Hellen and I am passionate about learning! I believe everyone has the ability to achieve in Science and that in doing so they will learn valuable skills for life. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I tutor Science and Maths at KS3 and GCSE, including Combined Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths. I can also tutor IGCSE students in these subjects.
My teaching method is very friendly and positive as I believe stress can sometimes be debilitating for students. I first pinpoint which areas of each subject are most difficult for the individual and walk them through key concepts before moving onto practice questions and applications.
Currently studying at the University of Kent masters in Investment, Finance and Risk. I just finished my undergraduate in Financial Economics and graduated with a First class.
- Educator with 6 years experience as academic assistant & Director of Rowing (King's School, Canterbury & Hunter Valley Grammar School, Australia) - Educated in Switzerland: Federal Maturity (Physics/Maths), BSc of Sciences (Micro.- & Nanosciences), MSc in Microengineering (MEMS). - I have been tutoring Physics & Mathematics at the A-level for 10+ years.
A passionate Biochemist undergraduate with A-levels in Chemistry, Biology and Maths. I also have an AS in Physics. In my lessons we will start by going through the specification and highlighting the weakest areas the student has. Then we will create a study plan to strengthen the weakest area of knowledge specific to the student.
I’m an incredibly patient teacher, I aim to explain things in a way that everyone will understand. I’ve been the recipient of a frustrated teacher repeating the same thing over and over and as a result I do my best to ensure I can explain things in a way that is applicable to each individual.
I have tutored 2 family friends at GCSE with one student receiving an A and the other receiving an A* I work through individual topics and locate where in each topic a problem lies, however my biggest philosophy with teaching is working through past paper as I believe this is the best way to prepare for an exam
I can provide assistance in mathematics to those in need as I have done IB HL mathematics. Based on your needs and level we can develop a teaching plan that would suit you and conduct face to face lessons on a timeline basis.
My name is Ivan Slipenyuk and I recently acquired a Maths degree from the University of Kent. I offer private Maths lessons to students requiring help for any level (from Primary education up to degree level). I'm a very friendly person and will try to help you to the best of my ability and try to work around your preferred hours.
My teaching style consists of identifying and focusing on key areas for improvement. All of my lessons would be structured around and tailored to each student. There would be heavy emphasis on working through past paper questions to better prepare students for exams.
I am a University Law student who has achieved an A in both Maths and Further Maths A Level. I provide lessons for both GCSE and Primary School Students in a relaxed and interactive environment! I spend the first session understanding how best you learn, and this will develop into problem questions/games and tasks/interactive learning/repetition etc.
I am Oana and I am currently a second year architecture student. I have a consistent background of studying mathematics starting from a specialized mathematics-informatics profile studied in high school to private lessons that I took with maths and physics teachers covering undergraduate subjects. I am now looking to use my skills helping others learn maths and succeed in their exams.
I am able to answer any questions you have about physics, including more trivial questions of a higher level. You will be able to ask for assistance on any homework you have but you will have to complete it on your own. I am also capable of teaching mathematics and chemistry at secondary level.
My method of teaching is all based around the idea of building strong foundations in subjects, and connecting ideas. Most concepts in mathematics are built off of more fundamental ones. The same is true for most subjects. But for mathematics it is especially important because basic concepts are absolutely integral to understanding much harder ones.
I believe a student should always work smart not hard. I try to explain or portray any problem or theories in a way to make the students understand them with ease. I help student to understand everything rather than memorising them.
I am a tutor for primary aged children or up to 14 year olds who need some support in English and Maths skills to provide a catch up. I adapt my style and structure to the needs of the student. I aim to build confidence in my students. It is important to identify specific gaps in knowledge and fill these to make progress. I like to make learning as fun and pain free as possible.
My teaching method involves assessing prior knowledge and building on that. From there I introduce the topic in a way that is relatable and then demonstrate a number of methods to understand and complete the task. I then give my students the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding and provide them with suitable exam style questions and further practice to do in their own time.
I have recently finished my GCSEs and my Maths A level and am interested in part time tutoring jobs over the summer. I am predicted the maximum grades in all 12 of my GCSEs- I received them in my mocks- and am especially gifted in maths; I've self-taught my entire maths A level 2 years early and am finishing the final book of Further Maths A level over the summer (FP3).
I am able to cover every aspect from GCSE, yet for languages only Spanish and Turkish. At A-levels I've studied Chemistry, Maths, Biology and Psychology. Along with being 'left-brained' I have learned many flaws and many uplifts in the education system that has enabled me to only focus on the most essential things that the exam boards ask for.
