About Xander
I have been interested in English Literature as long as I can remember, from when I was given my first story books to studying Shakespeare and Keats in Sixth Form, which was also the same time I started taking fiction writing seriously as a potential career. My own knowledge of the subjects give me confidence that I can help you or your child master any text analysis they are given, be it a play, an article or something else. I hope my A and A* in English Literature and Language respectively at GCSE, as well as my AS Level in Literature can give you some of the same confidence

I enjoy teaching at any level below university. My approach is to isolate what the student enjoys about the subject and link it to everything as much as I can. It isn't always easy, especially when they're not a fan of the subject, but I've yet to find someone who isn't interested in SOMETHING related to what they're learning. For me, finding that something and growing it to a love, or at least appreciation, of the subject is a challenge I relish
