About Jodykay
With both Bachelor and Master degrees in Education, Science and Curriculum, I still believe that there is much to learn and accomplish. For this reason, I work extremely hard to be a better version of myself with each new day.
As a mom, I treat children as I would want my own to be treated… with respect, care, kindness and understanding. Though I maintain a strict schedule to ensure targets and goals are achieved, flexibility is employed where necessary. Flexibility is vital in education because each individual is unique and learns differently. As a teacher, it is therefore important to meet a student where they are academically and personally.
Over all, I love teaching and so I aim to maintain an attitude of respect, care and great professionalism.

For me, teaching is not just a job, it’s my craft and undeniable passion. This passion was born when I met my grade 8 science teacher who transformed me from a struggling, terrified science student to a lover of science and education.
For this very reason, my science lessons have been designed to captivate learners so that they will not only succeed at science, but can also enjoy the world of science.
My lessons include colorful PowerPoint presentations, interactive worksheets, vivid images, simulations and videos.
