About Leandrie
I've been tutoring Afrikaans since I was 14 years old. Having achieved consistent distinctions throughout my school career, I specialize in making the 'logic' of the language simple for students who find it frustrating.
Teaching and mentoring are more than a job for me, they are my calling. I have a natural ability to connect with people of all ages, creating a safe, non-judgmental space where students feel comfortable enough to ask the 'silly' questions or share their struggles.
My background as a Psychology and Linguistics major gives me a unique lens to understand how we learn, how we process fear, and how we communicate.
I love teaching because I get to see the moment a student’s confidence shifts. Whether it's mastering a new language or overcoming a mental block, my goal is to help you realize your own potential.

I don’t just teach Afrikaans; I help students stop being afraid of it. Having achieved consistent distinctions from Primary through High School, I understand the 'logic' of the language and how to make it click for students who find it frustrating.
My background in Psychology and Linguistics allows me to identify why a student is struggling, whether it’s a grammar gap or a lack of confidence and tailor my approach to their personality. I’ve been tutoring since I was 14, so I know exactly how to break down complex rules into simple, everyday patterns.
