About Carole
I am a qualified French teacher. I originally come from the Auvergne region, between Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand. I am a very enthusiastic teacher and like to bring culture to life in my lessons.
I am caring, patient and empathic to learners of a foreign language. I always try to create a secure learning environment.

I am passionate about sharing my love of French language and culture. I have over 20 years' experience of teaching between the age of 6 to adulthood, both as a classroom teacher and as a tutor. Excellent exam results including GCSE, IGCSE, A Level and IB.
I see my role as a teacher as one that enables all students, regardless of their ability, to achieve their full potential. After getting to know my classes, I adopt a variety of strategies to suit different learning styles and abilities. For example, this might involve providing stretch targets for the most able students to help them achieve the highest grades. For the less able, I might try to simplify grammatical rules to make them more accessible and fun, and offer scaffolded activities. I always strive to create engaging and inclusive lessons that build students’ confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing.

I saw Carole's profile on a Tutor website over fifteen years ago. At the time I was looking for somebody who was local to where I lived, to help me with my French. Carole is friendly, patient, professional and always tries to find subjects that are of interest, rather than just working from textbooks. I haven't got time to have lessons at the moment, but I would definitely like to again, in the future. Carole and I have stayed in touch and I hope we will continue to do so.
