About Tomiwa
Hello! My name is Tomiwa and I am passionate about helping students build confidence in math, science, and programming.
I have a strong background in programming and am currently pursuing advanced studies in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Through my studies and experience with Python programming, I have developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills, which I enjoy sharing with students.
I understand that subjects like math and science can sometimes feel intimidating. My goal as a tutor is to make these subjects clearer and more approachable by explaining concepts step by step and helping students develop confidence in their abilities.
I am patient, supportive, and attentive to each student’s learning style. Whether a student needs help with homework, wants to strengthen their understanding of math and science, or is interested in learning Python programming, I aim to create a positive learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making progress.
I enjoy seeing students grow in their understanding and confidence, and I am committed to helping them achieve their academic goals.

My teaching approach focuses on helping students truly understand concepts rather than simply memorizing formulas or solutions. I explain ideas step by step and adapt my teaching style to each student’s level, pace, and learning style. I believe that when students understand the “why” behind a concept, they become more confident and independent in solving problems.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material or homework to identify any difficulties. I then introduce the new concept using clear explanations and practical examples. After that, we work through exercises together so the student can practice applying what they have learned. I also encourage students to ask questions and think through problems to strengthen their problem-solving skills.
For programming lessons, I guide students through writing Python code, understanding how programs work, and debugging errors. Whenever possible, I include small projects and practical exercises to make learning engaging and hands-on.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my background in programming and my current studies in artificial intelligence and machine learning. This allows me to connect math and science concepts with real-world applications in technology.
My lessons are suitable for elementary and high school students who need help with math and science, as well as beginners who want to start learning Python programming.
