About Harley
I am a passionate Piano tutor with over 7 years of experience teaching school students, college learners, and working professionals. Throughout my career, I have focused on helping students enjoy the learning process while building a strong foundation in piano skills. I believe music education should be supportive, patient, and goal-oriented.
My teaching philosophy is centred on understanding, practice, and progress. I first understand the student’s interest, skill level, and learning speed. Based on this, I design lessons that are clear, structured, and easy to follow. I give importance to correct technique, hand positioning, timing, and musical expression from the beginning.
I use real-life examples, familiar songs, and practical exercises to help students connect theory with practice. I also guide students on how to practice effectively at home, which helps them improve faster and avoid common mistakes. I believe motivation and regular feedback are essential for steady growth.
Over the 7 years, I have helped many students prepare for music exams, school performances, and personal milestones. Several of my students have developed the confidence to play piano independently and perform in front of audiences. Teaching piano for me is not just a profession, but a way to help students express themselves, reduce stress, and discover their musical potential.

I follow a student-centred, adaptive, and creatively-driven approach to teaching piano, combining technical skill, musical understanding, and expressive performance. I prioritise communication, ensuring students fully grasp techniques, music theory, rhythm, and interpretation.
Lessons are designed according to each student’s learning style—visual, auditory, or kinaesthetic—making learning interactive, engaging, and highly effective.
I integrate real-life examples and case studies, such as analysing favourite songs, exploring classical works, and demonstrating music’s use in films, performances, and daily life.
Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, ear training, improvisation, composition, and performance skills, providing a complete musical education. My methodology nurtures creativity, technical mastery, performance confidence, and a lifelong love for music, helping students express themselves fully and enjoy every step of their piano learning journey.
