About Me

I am an experienced psychotherapist, qualified counsellor, university educator and emotional intelligence practitioner with over 30 years of professional experience in personal development, education, leadership and organisational change.

My academic qualifications include a Master’s degree (MA) in Counselling Studies from the University of Nottingham, a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling from the University of Warwick and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering.

Throughout my career, I have combined my knowledge of human psychology with extensive experience in higher education, engineering and senior leadership. I have held senior roles at Aston University, the University of Birmingham and Birmingham City University, working with students, academics, professionals and organisational leaders.

My particular passion is Emotional Intelligence (EI) and its application to personal growth, confidence, resilience, leadership and wellbeing.

My lessons are designed to help individuals develop greater self-awareness, emotional intelligence, confidence and resilience, enabling them to achieve their full personal and professional potential.

As an experienced psychotherapist, university educator and emotional intelligence practitioner with over 30 years of professional experience, I bring a unique combination of psychological understanding, academic knowledge and practical experience to my teaching.

I believe that emotional intelligence is one of the most important skills we can develop. Understanding our emotions, thoughts and behaviours can transform how we communicate, build relationships, manage challenges and make decisions.

My sessions focus on:
