About Kateryna
As a professional musician and dedicated music educator, I am passionate about helping students develop their musical understanding and achieve their goals. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and National Music Academy of Ukraine, and also an ABRSM Level 4 Diploma in Music Teaching (ARSM). My training combines strong musical foundations with a thoughtful, structured approach to teaching.
I have experience working with children and adults at different stages of their musical journey, adapting my lessons to each student’s individual needs, learning style and ambitions. Whether you are preparing for an ABRSM Music Theory exam, strengthening your understanding of musical concepts or learning theory to support your instrumental studies, I will guide you step by step.
I believe that everyone can develop their musical knowledge with the right support and encouragement. My lessons provide a friendly, patient and professional learning environment where questions are always welcome, progress is celebrated, and challenging concepts become easier to understand. My goal is not only to help you succeed in exams but also to build lasting confidence and a deeper appreciation of music.

My teaching approach is student-centred, supportive and tailored to each learner’s individual goals, experience and pace. I aim to make music theory clear, engaging and practical, helping students understand the concepts rather than simply memorise rules. I use clear explanations, visual examples, written exercises and interactive activities to develop confidence and independent learning skills.
Lessons are tailored to the student’s needs and may include note reading, rhythm, scales, intervals, key signatures, chords and other topics from the ABRSM Music Theory syllabus. I can also help students prepare for ABRSM theory exams, identify areas for improvement and practise exam-style questions.
Lessons typically last 30, 45 or 60 minutes, depending on the student’s age, level and goals.
I hold an ABRSM Level 4 Diploma in Music Teaching (ARSM) and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I have experience teaching children and adults, from complete beginners to more advanced learners, and I adapt my methods to suit different learning styles and abilities.
My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers and adults who want to develop their musical knowledge, prepare for ABRSM Music Theory exams (Grades 1–5), strengthen their understanding of music notation or support their instrumental studies. Whether you are learning music theory for the first time or preparing for an exam, I will help you progress with confidence.
