About Jane
I am a retired Head of English with years of experience writing and designing KS3, GCSE and A-level courses. The best thing about teaching is the interaction with students, and participating in their fabulous success stories.
I have an excellent record of success, as faculty leader, classroom teacher and 1-1 tutor. Most of my students found me through word of mouth and personal recommendation.
I have enhanced DBS clearance, and references and certificates are available.

I start by discussing with the student and their parent where they feel their weaknesses lie. Using this conversation and a recent piece of work, I design personalised and focused lessons. Together we diagnose the weaknesses and strengths, exploring how best to fit the requirements of the examination marking scheme.
