Hi! I’m Polina, a friendly and passionate tutor with a love for history and a commitment to helping students succeed. As a Durham Law graduate currently pursuing my PGCE and a career as a history teacher, I bring both knowledge and enthusiasm to every lesson. (1) Initial Assessment: I begin by understanding each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning style through an initial consultation. We’ll discuss current progress, challenges, and academic goals. (2) Customised Learning Plan: Based on the assessment, I design a structured yet flexible lesson plan that covers the curriculum, focusing on areas where support is most needed. This includes: - Topic deep dives to ensure thorough understanding - Breaking down exam techniques to master time management and question analysis - Essay writing guidance to enhance critical thinking and argument structure (3) Interactive Lessons: To ensure all of my lessons are highly engaging and interactive I use a mix of discussions, practice questions, and real exam materials. (4) Progress Tracking: I closely track the progress of all my students and provide regular feedback to both the students and parents. (5) Ongoing Support: I’m always available to answer questions outside of lessons, providing resources and support whenever needed. With a passion for teaching and a commitment to student success, I’m here to help you achieve your full potential in GCSE and A-Level History.
