Katherine, or Dr. C as I call her, is one of the most inspiring teachers I have ever met. Whenever a mistake was made, she would calmly and without judgement point it out. Whenever we would do something well, she highlighted it in front of the entire class. After completing her course, I was her embedded tutor for a few more classes. Her energy and upbeat attitude inspired students who previously had no care for public speaking. Through her guidance, I have seen students who were deathly afraid of going up to speak turn into excellent speakers. This last semester in particular, one student openly expressed how much he enjoyed class, highlighting the effect Dr. C has on others.
