About Alisha
Hi, I’m Alisha Shahzad, a passionate and enthusiastic Science tutor currently undertaking a PGCE in Secondary Science at the University of Chester. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Master’s degree in Environmental Management, giving me a strong academic foundation in Science and Chemistry.
I enjoy helping students understand challenging scientific concepts in a simple, clear and engaging way. My teaching approach is student-centred, supportive and creative. I use diagrams, visual resources, questioning, real-life examples and practical activities to make lessons interesting and memorable.
I aim to develop not only students’ subject knowledge but also their confidence, critical thinking, problem-solving and scientific reasoning skills. I adapt my teaching to suit each student’s individual learning needs, pace and goals.
Whether you are preparing for GCSE exams, need support with KS3 Science, or simply want to improve your understanding and confidence, I will create a friendly and encouraging learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and making progress.

My lessons are interactive, creative and student-centred, designed to make Science easy to understand and enjoyable to learn. I use effective pedagogical strategies, clear diagrams, visual explanations, questioning and real-life examples to develop understanding. I encourage critical thinking, problem-solving and active participation while building confidence for KS3 and GCSE exams.
