About Sarah
I have 2 years experience of giving private ESL tutoring to individual students in Madrid. I gave english lessons to a variety of students which were designed to build on their school classes. Each lesson was modelled upon the areas and topics that they were currently studying and the activities were geared towards the aspects that they found particularly difficult or struggled with.
I have 2 years experience working in a Primary School in Madrid as an English Language Assistant helping students to prepare for their Cambridge (Starters, Movers, Flyers, Pet & KET) exams.
I have been studying/learning Spanish for a total of 12 years now and have achieved up to degree level in the subject. Alongside this, I have two and a half years living and working in Spain.

My name is Sarah and I am a BA History and Hispanic studies graduate from the University of Sheffield. I qualified as a Primary School Teacher from the University of Edinburgh in 2020 and have been working as a P4 teacher in Fife. When approaching language tutoring I feel it's really important to be aware of the different ways in which students learn and to be flexible in adapting a teaching method which suits the individual student. The student must be comfortable and confident in the way they are learning in order to maximise their progression and see the benefits of their studies. It is important for the student to see how they are progressing and it is my job, as a tutor, to help them develop in each of the specific areas within which they may be facing difficulty.
