About Emily
Hi, I'm Emily and I study pharmacy at Newcastle University. Coming from someone who always tried their best to achieve top grades, I understand that school work isn't always of the easiest difficulty but I believe that with my help and top tips, you will be able to excel with confidence. Working at First Class Learning for just around 2 years, I've tutored children across a range of ages and backgrounds. I've helped to bring up many students' grades by 2/3 levels as one girl I tutored went from a 2 to 5 in her Maths GCSE.
I received A*A*A in my A-Levels and received 8 9s at GCSE. I am highly motivated and I love learning new things and sharing my knowledge to others which is why I love to tutor and coach prospective students to achieving top grades at GCSE and A-Level.
My teaching style refers to the importance of fully understanding and learning concepts rather than just making a quick flashcard and memorizing. This is because I realized that the best way to pass exams is if you thoroughly grasp what you learnt so that it stays in your long term memory which will be accelerated through active recall techniques such as using Anki.
The typical length of a lesson can range from anywhere between 1 hour to 2.5 hours and even longer if requested.
