About Sotirios
I am a researcher in Cosmology and I have been teaching small groups of undergraduate students for the past five years in Physics and Mathematics, as well as provided one-on-one mentoring when required. In total, I have tutored about 25 students, all of which have gone on to achieve grades above 2.1 in their courses. All of my students have expressed their satisfaction with me, particularly my intuitive way of teaching the material as well as my attention to delivering a rounded lesson that highlights connections between different parts of their curriculum that is often glossed over in class.

As a tutor, my goal has always been on helping the student arrive at the "aha" moment where everything clicks by always focusing on the bigger picture first. I always ensure that my students have a clear understanding of the principles they must apply by offering as many examples and analogies as possible before delving into specifics. That way, my students can be confident that they have learned more than just an assortment of facts that they can apply to solve problems. Instead, they have learned fundamental principles and "made them their own", ensuring that they understand and put them to use in order to reach their learning goals.
