"Do you ever find that the most complex chemical reactions actually follow quite simple patterns when you break them down? I started my path towards a PhD at the University of Cambridge because I wanted to understand these fundamental building blocks better.
My 13 years of experience helped me guide 37 students who needed help with numerical problem solving or thermochemistry. I have found that conceptual learning often suffers when students rush through exam preparation.
Homework help is usually just the starting point of our conversations. I prefer to look at the broader picture and see where the gaps in knowledge reside. It seems that most of my students eventually find their own rhythm."

"Talking through your first problem feels like a natural conversation about how atoms actually behave. Having spent 13 years of experience in the lab, I find that a free trial class to identify weak areas saves us significant time later. My PhD background at the University of Cambridge informs every explanation I provide. We examine why specific methods work so that you stop relying on rote memorisation.
It is quite rewarding to watch a student finally connect different ideas during our time together. We keep the atmosphere calm and focused throughout the entire hour. Solving a difficult challenge together is truly the most enjoyable part of my day."
