About Caroline
I am currently a PhD candidate at Ohio State University, specializing in Public Health, but my journey in getting to this point was far from typical. As someone who was diagnosed with ADHD from a young age, I have had to use creative learning techniques to find success throughout my 20+ years of education. These learning techniques are what have inspired my passion for teaching. I have now taught multiple courses at the college level, worked one on one with middle and high school students, and established flexible learning plans to meet students where they are.
I hold a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, and human needs and global resources and a master's degree in biomedical sciences. I also have extensive training in standardized test-taking and academic writing as well as 18+ years of violin tutelage. I am excited to use my unique combination of skills to help students meet their academic and life goals.

As a tutor, I prioritize the student's needs. I get to know the student and base my teaching style on what works best for them. I believe in applied and interactive learning, and will use real-world examples to help students engage with difficult material. I also believe in the importance of memory associations as effective learning tools, and like to apply that to my teaching style. I am happy to tutor anyone from middle/high school students to PhD students.
