About Anum
The teaching profession came into my life very early as a means of providing financial support for my studies. I started teaching by giving private tuitions during my O Levels and continued it at various levels and educational institutions until now. When I taught for the first time, I was humbled by how much I still had to learn and my commitment to learning and growth continues till date. My 17 years of teaching, mentoring, and tutoring experiences, along with my research background, make me a strong candidate to teach various mathematics courses.
I feel teaching gives me the power to inspire and educate in a positive way. I want to use this position and for the good of myself and my students, ultimately making them skilled and independent learners.

My approach to classroom teaching is based on two principles: involve the students and work methodically. I make sure to explicitly incorporate questions for the students in my lecture notes. By encouraging students through my questions to help solve the important questions themselves, I not only can assist them to stay engaged, but I can also better gauge their understanding of the material in real time due to my diverse teaching experience.
