About George
I have a PhD in organic chemistry from Ohio State. I have taught undergraduate chemistry for over 25 years. Much of my teaching has occurred in one-on-one sessions during office hours. In addition, I have experience as an online tutor.

My lessons are personalized according to where the student’s gaps in understanding are. I ask my students questions to discern the thought process they used when solving a problem. Then we work examples to address gaps or misconceptions. Because chemistry in general and organic chemistry in particular require the ability to manage information, I also offer numerous tips for how to keep concepts straight.
