About Shannon
I am a PhD researcher in political geographer and also a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Birmingham. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and believe education is one of the most power tools that can be used to change the world.

I offer one to one, or group based sessions. My approach to teaching is dialogical, meaning ongoing talk between myself and students, not just teacher-presentation. Through dialogue, this can help elicit students' everyday, 'common sense'perspectives, engage with their developing ideas and help them overcome misunderstandings.
I tailor my lessons to your own individual needs and happy to include skills based sessions e.g. exam techniques, speed reading, and essay writing.
