About Pio
I am a dedicated violin tutor with 15+ years of teaching experience, working with high school students, college learners, and adults, and I have successfully taught around 300 students across different skill levels. My teaching philosophy is based on patience, clear communication, and steady improvement, as I believe every student can learn violin with the right guidance.
I focus on building strong fundamentals such as posture, bow control, finger placement, and tone quality, which are essential for long-term success. I explain each concept in a simple and easy way so students can understand and practise with confidence. I also include exercises, scales, and songs that make lessons interesting and engaging.
One of my key achievements is helping students progress from beginners to confident performers. My goal is to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel motivated and enjoy learning.

I teach violin using a student-centred approach that emphasises communication, adaptability, and hands-on learning. I recognise that every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to their visual, auditory, or kinaesthetic learning style.
Lessons focus on posture, bowing, fingering, tone, intonation, phrasing, and musical expression, while fostering creativity and interpretation. I use real-life examples such as performing favourite songs, playing along with recordings, and preparing for recitals to make lessons practical and engaging.
Alongside violin, I teach music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic piano skills to help students become well-rounded musicians. My goal is to create a motivating, structured, and enjoyable learning experience.
