About Chanel
I support children to become independent learners through a balanced approach of teacher-led instruction, modelling, and scaffolding. This allows children to steadily build both skills and confidence, giving them the tools they need to tackle learning on their own. I have experience providing 1:1 and small group support, tailoring lessons to each child’s individual needs. I design lessons that are engaging and effective, aligned with Key Stage 1 curriculum expectations, while also fostering a sense of achievement and enjoyment in learning.

I help primary school children build strong foundations in reading, writing, and numeracy. After 10+ years in the classroom, I now focus on 1:1 and small group tuition, creating lessons that are tailored to each child’s needs and abilities. My Approach Introductory Meeting: I start with a meeting to get to know the child, understand their current skills, and discuss goals with parents. This helps me tailor lessons to your child. Personalised Learning: Lessons are designed around each child’s starting point, strengths, and areas for development. Monitor & Track Progress: I monitor and track progress, making adjustments to meet your child's needs. Specialisms Phonics Reading and comprehension Writing Reception & KS1 maths Why Work With Me I aim to make learning engaging and achievable. By strengthening foundations, children gain confidence, enjoy learning, and are able to thrive. I offer online and a limited number of in-person sessions.
