About Jack
I graduated with a 2:1 Honours Degree in Theoretical Physics in July from the University of Sussex.
During the summer, I taught Physics at the University of Sussex Physics International Summer-School. This involved preparing and teaching the solutions to problem sets to roughly 10 undergraduates per class. Each class was two hours long covering 10 A-level style problems from Mechanics to Particle Physics. The students covered the majority of A-level Physics along with undergraduate topics such as Optics and Quantum Mechanics over an intensive 10 weeks.
I then began a teaching assistant role at a school in Hackney assisting in science classes from year 9 - 13 and providing 1:1 lessons with all A-level Physics students in year 13. The 1:1's lessons consist of going though past paper questions, working on exam technique and mathematical skills and finding gaps and misconceptions and working on those concepts.

As every physics teacher will tell you; always draw a diagram!
I tend to come armed with white boards in order to explain concepts visually, to draw diagrams, and to expand on any misconceptions, algebraic approach or any weaknesses whilst solving problems.
I have a relaxed but enthusiastic teaching style to maths and physics. We can be working on anything from new content to past papers or exam technique. My aim is not only to teach physics and how to approach problems, but to teach students self-study and how to learn effectively to achieve their potential.
