I really enjoy clarifying those aspects of the syllabus that often leave students feeling confused. My teaching style is informal and is designed to reduce stress and fill the student with confidence. Once you understand the principles of Physics - all the other seemingly disconnected elements come together beautifully.
I was a teacher for 6 years but gave it up as it is the most demanding of jobs. Although I loved being in the classroom - I found the out of classroom nonsense grueling. However Physics is my first love and I have tutored students for the last 10 years including occasional forays back into the classroom for a few months where schools had a need.
Tutoring Physics students (via Bath Tutors since 2007) and Teaching as a Contractor
Despite my career change to software and engineering, I missed the beauty of Physics and the joy of explanation to keen minds, so I have tutored A level students every year since 2005.
Unable to resist the urge to teach again I took temporary contracts in 2010 at City of Bath College for 5 months and in 2013 I taught at Prior Park College for 4 months.

While working with Mike I witnessed first hand the dedication and professionalism with which he approached teaching; both in the preparation of lessons and interactions with students.
Following our employment together we have remained friends and in regular contact. He is a reflective practitioner and cares deeply about doing the best for any students under his tutelage.
I have no hesitation in recommending Mike and believe him to be a thoroughly trustworthy teacher.
