About Gaylene
During my MSc and PhD in Medicine I worked as a teaching assistant in undergraduate human physiology and undergraduate medical education. This gave me the opportunity to provide demonstrations and explanations of a variety of physiology measurements and topics. I was responsible for aiding students in understanding key concepts from lecture material in preparation for examination as well as reviewing evaluations to help students understand the errors they made.

I've been a teaching assistant in undergraduate physiology labs for 7 years. I'm focused on hands-on learning and altering teaching plans to suit the learners needs.
I approach situations with a demonstrate, discuss, do model where learners first see the problem done, we then discuss how the techniques used to solve the problem, and finally the learner implements the techniques to complete the assigned question.
Discussion and questions are highly encouraged. Progress reports can be made available for long-term learners.
