About Natalie
I have recently finished my A-Level studies in Music, English and History and am spending a year homing in on my musical development before attending the University of Manchester in September 2022, having been granted 5 university offers. I was also awarded a scholarship to Cardiff University on the basis of my strong audition.

I believe in a collaborative approach to teaching and learning. As a young person who is widely read and enthusiastic about music, I personally understand the requirements and stresses of the education system and therefore take a pragmatic approach to teaching. In terms of piano, my teaching methodology is based on the method of Heinrich Neuhaus (as laid out in his book, 'The Art of Piano Playing') and I take inspiration from the great Russian concert pianists of the 1900s, such as Sviatoslav Richter, Maria Yudina, Sergei Rachmaninoff etc.

I have just finished teaching Natalie A Level Music. She is a superb and expressive pianist, as well as a high level academic musician. She did lots of work supporting and leading rehearsals with younger students when she was at school. She always brought drive and energy, and related very well to younger pupils.
Natalie excels in terms of both musical experience and tutorship. While she is experienced within many musical fields and genres, she is also able to teach with clarity and patience. Playing alongside her is an incredibly pleasant experience, as she is both dedicated and an entirely approachable person.
I was in a music class with Natalie where i was a bit behind. Natalie often helped me to understand music theory and also helped me master new techniques in my performance. She’s very talented and explains things in a way that really helped me to understand the theory and improve my playing. I have no doubt she’d be a very good tutor.
