About Matthew
I have been playing piano since I was around 5 years old and have achieved my grade 8 in piano and up to grade 5 (with distinction) in music theory. Previous students have all achieved high grades in exams (merits and distinctions).

My lessons are primarily aimed at beginners although I'm happy to modify lessons if you have previous experience.
For Piano:
Once we have covered the basics such as reading simple music and where all the notes are we move on to exam work. Students are also encouraged to find pieces that they want to play from any genre which we can work through in lessons.
For Music Theory:
Music theory greatly compliments piano. Lessons are given in the form of a power point and exercises from a book and can be completed in groups or one to one.
