About Mia
I grew up playing the piano for fun before taking on the challenge of graded exams. Most recently, I achieved a Merit in my ARSM diploma. I take pride in my technical ability and musicality, and I aim to improve on my skills through performing a concerto in the near future.

Piano lessons for beginners to intermediate level (up to grade 5).
Typical duration 30/45 minutes. I can help work towards pieces you are interested in and I can give guidance on sight-reading.
I am a firm believer in setting a strong foundation in music - this includes reading musical notation, as well as scales and arpeggios (as boring as they may be). I also teach how to find your own interpretation of music. My lessons are most suitable for those who want to learn these skills so that piano can be a sustainable pasttime in the future.
I have experience tutoring academic subjects and working with children, through which I have developed my patience and ability to explain complex ideas. I have never given any musical instruction except for advice for friends, and I will charge accordingly.
