About Bernardo
Music has been my constant companion since age 5, often feeling more like a primary language than a hobby. I hold a MMus in Piano from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, having spent 13 years refining the art of teaching from my home studio in Nashville. My practice centers on the discipline of the conservatory blended with exacting, poetic feedback for students aged 6 through adult.
I specialize in classical repertoire, advanced pedaling, dynamics, expression, memorization, ear training, theory, rhythm, chord voicing, and sight transposition. You are welcome to reach out if these methods resonate with your own musical path.

Sound must exist in the mind before the fingers touch the keys. I build our time together around the concept of audiation to ensure that every note carries intention rather than mere muscle memory.
During our 8 sentences of structured flow, I integrate my 13 years of conservatory experience to guide you through complex phrasing and technical precision. Because clarity is essential, I provide a short recorded playback of each session so students can review these nuances at home. I aim to cultivate a quiet, thoughtful space where technical growth feels like a natural evolution of your personal musical voice.
