About Cleo
I have over 8 years of experience teaching piano to college students and enjoy helping learners develop confidence and strong musical skills. My teaching style is flexible and student-focused, allowing lessons to match each student’s goals, pace, and learning style.
I focus on building a solid foundation in piano technique, sight-reading, rhythm, and music theory. To keep lessons interesting, I use creative methods such as improvisation, composition exercises, and blending classical music with modern styles.
I also help students build performance confidence and express emotion through their playing. My goal is to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel motivated, supported, and excited to learn piano.

My piano teaching methodology is creative, structured, and student-centred. I aim to guide students as a mentor while helping them grow into confident, independent musicians.
Creativity is central to my lessons. Students explore songs they enjoy, practise improvisation, and engage in creative exercises. This makes learning fun and keeps students inspired.
As a critical thinker, I guide students to understand rhythm, scales, chords, hand coordination, and musical expression. Complex concepts are broken into simple steps so students can practise effectively and improve steadily.
Accountability is emphasised through goal setting, structured practice routines, and regular progress tracking. This helps students stay disciplined, responsible, and motivated.
In addition to piano, I teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, keyboard basics, and simple composition to strengthen musical skills.
