About Elise
I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Keyboard Studies after developing a strong passion for piano performance and musical collaboration during my early training. Over the last 6 years, I have worked with students of different ages and learning styles, helping them improve through supportive and organized lessons. Teaching piano allows me to combine creativity, discipline, and communication in a meaningful way. I enjoy helping students discover that music learning can feel enjoyable and achievable with the right guidance.
My teaching approach focuses on patience, encouragement, and personalized instruction. Some students prefer structured repetition and technical exercises, while others respond better to creativity and musical exploration. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s confidence level, musical interests, and goals. Along with technical skill development, I help students strengthen rhythm awareness, listening ability, coordination, and expressive performance skills. Creating a calm and welcoming learning environment is always important to me.
Outside teaching, I continue practicing piano, exploring different musical styles, and studying teaching methods that help keep lessons engaging and fresh. Music remains an important part of my life because it encourages emotional expression, creativity, and personal discipline. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing students become more confident and independent musicians over time. Helping learners enjoy the piano while building meaningful musical skills continues to inspire me every day.

My piano lessons are designed to help students feel comfortable and confident while learning music step by step. I teach rhythm training, note reading, finger independence, hand coordination, and chord understanding through organized and enjoyable activities that support steady progress. Lessons also include listening exercises, duet playing, sight-reading activities, and creative improvisation that help students build musical awareness naturally. I create a supportive environment where students can ask questions openly and improve without feeling pressured. Every lesson balances technical learning with creativity and enjoyment.
Beginners receive careful guidance with posture, hand movement, scales, and simple melodies that build strong musical foundations. Intermediate learners improve pedal control, rhythm accuracy, expressive phrasing, and smoother coordination between both hands through practical exercises and musical studies. Advanced students focus on performance confidence, interpretation, and more expressive musical storytelling through advanced repertoire. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s pace and personal goals so progress feels motivating and manageable.
Music learning should feel rewarding and inspiring for every student. I encourage learners to enjoy the process of improvement instead of focusing only on perfection. Many students become more expressive, focused, and confident as they continue developing their piano skills over time.
