About Riuben
I'm Ruben, a professional pianist and educator based in Dubai with over a decade of performance and teaching experience.
I hold a degree in Piano Performance, Teaching, and Ensemble Practice from the Conservatory of Music Esteban Salas. My professional career includes six years as Pianist Soloist and Accompanist with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Holguín — collaborating with international conductors, performing in major concert seasons, and accompanying soloists at the highest level.
I've taught at professional music schools and led workshops in harmonization and arrangement, reaching over 200 aspiring musicians. In Dubai, I teach through Emirates Piano — a private teaching and accompaniment service built on one belief: every student deserves high-quality instruction, whatever their starting point.
I work with children from age 6, teenagers, and adults. My approach adapts to each person's personality, pace, and musical taste. Every lesson is built around your goals. In our first session I assess your level, learning style, and what you actually want from music. From there, lessons combine solid technique, theory and sight-reading with music you're genuinely motivated to play. Students who love their pieces practice. Students who are bored don't.
For exam candidates: I prepare students for ABRSM, MTB and Trinity examinations at all grades. Scales, pieces, sight-reading, and aural training are covered in a structured progression, so exam day holds no surprises.
For beginners: I use music theory and ear training from day one, not just note-reading. This builds musical instincts that last a lifetime.
For advanced students: I offer specialist coaching in Harmonization, Improvisation, and Arrangement — areas where most Dubai teachers simply don't go.
Lessons in English or Spanish. In person across Dubai or online.
