About Thien
I'm a Piano Teacher with a flexible timetable who specialises with Kids and Beginners. I've played the piano since I was 7, and have passed all my grades 1-8 with distinctions. I enjoy the challenge of adapting to the learner's needs as each individual is different and may have different optimal learning techniques.

Lessons will be tailored to each student ranging from 45-90 minutes.
After the first lesson, I will be looking to see what path the student would like to take, such as the ABRSM grades or just playing for fun, in which I would be happy to do both. (No prior experience needed)
Following that, I would guide them through the best way to practise and learn a piano piece and then listen to their progress, where the next week I would give constructive feedback in order to help them progress.
I believe in developing positive relationships with my students/parents as it helps advance towards their goals easier and creates a more comfortable environment in which we can be open with one another.
I am experienced with kids, where I aim to make lessons as fun and enriching as possible!

Thien started teaching my 9 year old after lessons with another teacher prior and has helped her improve some habits she had picked up. He has great attention to detail and his passion for music definitely shows in his teaching.
Thien is a great teacher ; he used to babysit before we found out he was a Piano teacher. It’s so nice hearing him teach my daughter to play piano. He is patient and kind, which helped her to learn to play the piano with both hands quickly, in a way that was engaging and that let her enjoy learning how to play.
Thien explains musical concept in a way that is very easy to understand. He was able to help my daughter get through the initial stages with ease and now I can confidently play Grade 2 pieces, having only started lessons 4 months ago. Would definitely recommend!
