About Madeline
Hi, I'm Madeline Xu.
I have been a pianist for 14 years, being invited to play in many different parts of the world including the U.S., Russia, China, Philippines, and many more. I started at age 4 under the strict guidance of my father, a former member of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He helped me realize my own love for piano though it was tough. Practicing about 5-6 hours a day really paid off, as I was invited by conductor Vladimir Lande to play with the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra in Russia as a piano soloist at just age 9. I was just 10 years old when conductor Lande invited me to play with the Krasnoyarsk Symphony Orchestra and later the Volgograd Symphony Orchestra in Russia. I've won numerous international and national competitions before and after that. I traveled to New York University over the summer of 2022 to study with many well-known professors and artists in the piano performance department. I am currently studying under Prof. Eduardus Halim, who leads the piano performance and studies department at NYU.
