I draw on 13 years of experience to simplify chord voicing and rhythm for those just starting their musical path. My own training began with voice as a primary study and piano as a second, which informs how I teach my 497 students to hear the music while they play.

"Often, I admit that the hardest part of learning piano is maintaining a consistent daily habit. I structure your lessons around ear training and jazz improvisation to make the theory feel alive rather than like a chore.
You will notice that I use my background in musical theater to emphasize the storytelling aspect of even the simplest pop melodies. My goal is to ensure you understand the mechanics of chord voicing so you can eventually play by ear without relying on sheet music. To support this, I provide weekly practice modules assigned with every class so you have a roadmap between our sessions. I observe your posture and timing closely during our time together to correct bad habits before they become permanent.
These 13 years of teaching have shown me that a patient approach produces the most reliable results for grade exam candidates. We move at a speed that ensures you truly understand the material before moving forward to more difficult repertoire. I track your rhythm and timing metrics to show exactly how your technical fluency evolves. You will soon see that the keys become much easier to navigate as you build your foundational skills."
