About Kayla
With three years of experience as a piano tutor, I am dedicated to fostering a love for music and helping students of all ages achieve their musical aspirations. My background includes specialized training in both classical and jazz piano, allowing me to offer a diverse range of lessons tailored to each student's unique interests and skill levels. My goal is to provide an engaging and supportive learning experience that helps students develop their skills and confidence.
My teaching journey began with a passion for music and a commitment to sharing that enthusiasm with others. Over the years, I have worked with students from various backgrounds, from young beginners to adult learners. This experience has honed my ability to adapt my teaching methods to meet individual needs, whether it's building foundational skills or exploring advanced techniques in classical and jazz piano.
In my lessons, I focus on creating a well-rounded musical education that combines technical proficiency with expressive performance. I believe in a balanced approach that includes essential technical exercises, such as scales and arpeggios, as well as interpretation and improvisation. This approach ensures that students not only develop strong technical abilities but also enjoy a deep, personal connection to the music they play.
Outside of teaching, I remain actively engaged with current trends in music education and performance, which keeps my methods fresh and effective. I am excited to share my expertise and passion for the piano with you, guiding you through a fulfilling musical journey and helping you reach your full potential as a pianist.

In our sessions, we focus on building a strong technical foundation while also exploring a diverse repertoire. For beginners, we start with fundamental skills such as finger positioning, sight-reading, and basic theory, ensuring a solid start in both classical and jazz. For more advanced students, we delve into complex pieces and improvisational techniques, helping you develop a deeper understanding of music and enhance your performance skills.
My teaching approach emphasizes a balance between technical exercises and musical expression. We work on essential elements such as scales, arpeggios, and rhythm exercises, while also focusing on interpreting and expressing the music you play. This method ensures that you not only improve your technical proficiency but also connect emotionally with the music, making each lesson both educational and inspiring.
I believe in creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable to experiment and grow.
