About Riya
I am a piano tutor with 9 years of teaching experience, and I also work as a composer and performer. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Studies, which has shaped my understanding of music both technically and creatively. I see music as a lifelong journey, and I aim to share that passion with every student I teach. I work with both beginners and advanced musicians, tailoring lessons to each individual’s needs and goals. My teaching covers technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and performance skills. I encourage students to explore different styles and genres, helping them become versatile and expressive pianists. As a composer and performer, I bring real-world experience into my lessons, showing students how to connect creativity with skill. I emphasize musical expression and personal growth, fostering confidence and independence at the keyboard.
