About Samuel
Hey there!
I have been learning piano since 3 years of age, and have been passionate about everything music since then!
I have participated in annual piano concerts and competitions within my school and the wider Victorian music community.
I have had experience for Suzuki Method from Grade 1-7, before making the shift to graduate from Grade 8 of AMEB.
I am looking forward to teaching you both classical and/or contemporary music!
I also teach saxophone (soprano/alto/tenor/baritone)

I usually provide 1/2-1h piano lessons per week to my students. This gives them time to space out their practice. However, my lessons are pretty flexible, so feel free to discuss!
Besides just learning the notes, I strive to teach my students:
1. the ideal posture, hand position and finger numbers
2. dynamics and tempo- how to provide your own unique
interpretation of a piece!
3. articulation- how to hone your precision and accuracy to
stay true to the music score!
4. how to practise effectively and how to space out your
practice! (practice ≠ perfect)

Samuel has taught my child last year. He takes whatever job he is given seriously. He has a strong sense of responsibility and I feel safe to entrust my child to him knowing he will make sure he teaches him well. Samuel would tailor to my child's needs and is good at communication eg asking us what my child's needs and weaknesses are, so that he can design a plan for him. He would also feedback to me what he has done with my child on the day of lesson. I think his sense of responsibility and professionalism are really great as a teacher. I highly recommend Samuel to any student.
