About Sharni
My name is Sharni. I am neurodivergent and disabled, and am passionate about making information and education more accessible for others like myself.
I am an Ex-Government Senior Leader with a background in Psychology. I hold a First Class BSc in Applied Psychology and a First Class MSc in Forensic Psychology, with 15 years' writing experience.
My experience spans writing and contributing to government policy and guidance, organisational strategies, research papers, literature reviews, business cases, reports, and professional publications, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate essays, dissertations and research projects.
As a Government Senior Leader and Chair of an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Working Group, I have set up successful initiatives to make Government policies more accessible and improve public understanding of complex topics through accessible writing strategies.

Specialist 1:1 support for university students needing help with academic writing, dissertations, research projects, professional communication and study skills.
I hold a First Class BSc in Applied Psychology and a First Class MSc in Forensic Psychology. I have studied for six years at university, and have been a Government Policy Professional in the Civil Service for 10 years, where I gained experience writing and contributing to government policy and guidance, organisational strategies, research papers, literature reviews, business cases, reports, and professional publications. I have set up initiatives to make Government policies more accessible and improve public understanding of complex topics through accessible writing strategies.
Online sessions with me are tailored to each individual's learning style, strengths, and goals. I have experience supporting neurodivergent students and learners with disabilities. Together, we can develop approaches that work for you, including support with planning, organisation, confidence-building, and breaking large projects into manageable steps.
