About Nick
I received my B.A. in philosophy from Yale University and Ph.D. in political science from Brown University. I have been working as a private tutor for the last two years in the Los Angeles area and have taught at Brown and Wheaton College (MA).

I am passionate about developing a life-long passion for learning in my students and supporting their intellectual growth. I focus on building conceptual mastery through deliberate practice, focused questions, and collaborative problem-solving. I also integrate executive functioning, planning, and time-management skills into my work with students.
I offer support to high-school students in English, social studies, mathematics (geometry, precalc, and calculus), and AP courses (US History, European History, Government, and Economics, and Statistics). I also support college-level students for writing assignments (all areas) and subject support in philosophy and political science.
