About Amelia
I am a graduate who completed primary school in the spanish education system. I’m currently studying for a PGCE in Secondary Spanish teaching. I love teaching my friends words here and there, and have now decided to tutor. I promise I am a fun person. The lessons will also give a cultural insight, help the student develop all areas of understanding and learning a language. This may include watching famous YouTubers, or even simply showing them some famous musicians, some which they may even know. Learning a language is difficult, it’s about understanding all areas of a culture as well as understanding what they are actually saying.

My teaching methodology will depend on the students level of Spanish. If they are beginners then we will make the lessons more interactive and fun, as well as simple and easy vocabulary to start off with. The basics are always important. Whereas if the student is quite advanced then I will plan enjoyable lessons where they will be able to comprehend more of the language every time they have an encounter with the language.
It’s important to make sure the student has a full understand of the tasks the content they just learned. Therefore I will offer a free extra 10/15 min chat after the session has ended just to go over any of the content they have learned.
As well as this, I think it’s important to understand each student and how they learn individually. For example, the way they revise is important, because if I teach in a certain way or format then that may help with their revision. So if a student learns well using flash cards then I will personally produce the flash cards for the student.
