About Charlie
I'm Charlie, a Politics with Economics undergraduate at the University of Bath, and I'm here to help you excel in your politics studies. My approach to tutoring is built on making politics engaging and understandable. I believe the best way to learn is by connecting textbook theory to real-world practice. My experience as a Parliamentary Policy Assistant in the House of Commons gives me a unique insider's perspective on the UK political system. I can take you beyond the curriculum, sharing practical insights from my time researching legislation, managing constituent casework, and even assisting in drafting parliamentary questions. For those interested in global politics, my international internship experience is a significant asset. I have engaged directly with government officials, NGOs, and investors across Sierra Leone, Zambia, and Ethiopia, providing me with first-hand knowledge of different political systems. Academically, I achieved top A-Level grades in Politics and History and was commended for the prestigious Trinity College, Cambridge R. A. Butler Prize, so I know exactly what it takes to structure high-scoring essays and arguments. My lessons are methodical, neurodiverse-friendly, and designed to build your knowledge step-by-step. In our one-hour sessions, we will work together to broaden your understanding, deepen your analysis, and build your confidence.

As a Politics undergraduate with real-world experience in Parliament, I'm passionate about helping students not just learn politics, but truly understand it. My teaching philosophy is built on creating a supportive and methodical learning environment. I believe in going beyond surface-level facts to build a deep, lasting knowledge of the subject. My approach is neurodiverse-friendly, and I tailor each session to your unique learning style. In our lessons, we will: Work step-by-step through complex topics, breaking them down into clear, manageable parts. Focus on building your knowledge breadth, helping you connect ideas and see the bigger picture. Develop your confidence in analysis, argumentation, and essay writing.
