About Luke
I work as a bronze portrait sculptor undertaking portrait commissions in the UK and overseas.
I have been teaching portrait sculpture for over 35 years.
I also run courses specifically for plastic surgeons. The courses are suitable for beginners and experienced sculptors as I teach both to the group and also to the individual.
I offer a mentoring service for sculptors wishing to develop their modelling skills.

I teach 4-day workshops for up to a maximum of 10 students.
I always teach using a life-model chosen specifically for their strong facial features.
Teaching focuses on perception and closing the gap between what is seen and what is expressed in clay.
The courses are technical and offer a precise skill based learning.
Participants are taught to measure in balance with their perception and gain confidence in creating a likeness.
Art as it used to be taught without being overly academic.
