About Emily
At school I was a mentor for younger pupils who struggled in humanities and language subject an as such have previous experience in providing one to one tuition. I also have experience of teaching larger groups from my Saturday job during my school years when I worked at a drama school, here I helped to teach a wide range of ages of drama and speech and prose.

I am a recent graduate of University College London where I gained a first class degree in History and was commended on the Dean's List for my high academic achievement. I am continuing my studies at Queen Mary University of London where I shall be embarking on a MA History degree in September.
Previously I was a student at Southend High School for Girls where I achieved 13 GCSEs at A*-A. I also excelled academically in my A-Levels achieving 1 A* and 2 As at Southend High School for Boys. Consequently, I am able to offer tutoring in History up to the level of A-Level. My skilled essay writing and high A-level grades also means I am able to offer English tuition.
My approach to tutoring is student led. I like to identify an achievable goal that the student wants to work towards and help them to achieve this together through not only essay practice but interactive exercises. I hope to make classes as interesting as possible as I believe a key step toward success is enjoying the subject matter we are tackling and as such will tailor them to your interests whilst making sure that we cover the necessary aspects of the curriculum.
