I am willing to tutor students for their GCSE's, A-Levels and undergraduate degrees in English language or English Literature. As well as assist any non-native English students with their learning of English. I am willing to conduct 1-1 tutor sessions or group sessions.
I am a current postgraduate student at Aston University. I have 2 years prior experience working with 16-19 year olds within a sixth form college environment, and have taught the GCSE English language specification. I have worked with students with differing needs and abilities and have also taught non-native speakers, achieving very good results, above the national average. In prior roles I have also been a teaching assistant and a personal tutor whereby I closely monitored students progression and liaised with other academic staff. I have a 2:1 with honors bachelors degree in English language and English literature from the University of Essex and I am willing to tutor students who require extra help in either of these disciplines. I am very friendly and patient and I always adapt my teaching style to fit the needs of the student. I am very passionate and dedicated to my subject and I am very willing to provide longer tutoring sessions should you require them.
I consider myself to be an enthusiastic self-motivated individual who can adapt to various roles independently or as a team member. Punctuality, reliability and Integrity are aspects I consider myself to possess, and I have often been commended on my ability to accept and complete various challenges set by my employers. To become an international athlete, I needed high levels of self-discipline and determination. These attributes have helped me with self-confidence, performing under pressure and personal goal setting; they have also helped me to successfully achieve a high 2:1 in my Bachelor of Arts English Language and Literature degree.
