About Tom
Having graduated from The Academy of Contemporary Music with 1st Class Honours in 2018, I have spent the last 8 years performing in a variety of settings as a freelance drummer. A large proportion of this has been in the pop industry playing with a multitude of bands and artists both nationally and internationally. Other experience includes a variety of musicals, corporate gigs, recording and touring as an original member of indie band Simple Fiction for 5 years, before parting ways in late 2021.
I am currently studying for a postgraduate degree in Jazz at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

With over 5 years worth of experience teaching in schools, and privately, I have developed a holistic approach to teaching students of all ages and abilities. As a passionate tutor and professional musician, I feel its very important for everyone to get the chance to experience how it feels to learn and play an instrument, regardless of what stage of life you're in.
During my lessons, I aim to get to the core of exactly what you want to gain from learning the drums, what genres you'd like to explore, whether it's just for fun, or to seriously challenge yourself.
I am able to travel to students who have a drum kit at home, or teach from my studio in Bermondsey.
