About Avni
I am currently studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the London School of Economics, after achieving an A* in Philosophy at A-level. My academic background has given me both a strong command of the subject and a clear understanding of the challenges students face when approaching it for the first time. I want to teach because I’ve experienced firsthand how rewarding philosophy becomes once difficult concepts start to make sense. My goal is to help students bridge that gap - breaking down abstract ideas into clear explanations, guiding them in how to construct strong arguments, and supporting them in achieving excellent exam results. Tutoring for me is not just about grades, but also about building confidence, curiosity, and independent thinking. I believe that with the right support, every student can find their own voice in philosophy and enjoy the subject as much as I do.

I design lessons to make philosophy clear, engaging, and confidence-building. Each session begins with breaking down complex ideas into simple, memorable explanations. We then work through examples, past paper questions, or key texts so students can see how to apply their understanding in practice. I encourage active discussion and critical thinking, guiding students to form their own arguments while also showing them how to write strong, exam-ready answers. Every lesson ends with a short recap and personalised feedback, so progress feels tangible and focused. My aim is not just to prepare students for excellent exam results, but also to help them enjoy philosophy and develop the independent analytical skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom.
